  • Quick Intro

  • Hi, I'm Jeff. I have been a career coach for 9 years; working with professionals in all areas of business.

I specialize in confidence building, helping you get direction on your next steps, interview preparation, working through a host of on-the-job challenges (e.g., asking for a raise or a promotion, dealing with a difficult manager or co-worker, finding a better work-life balance, etc.), as well as resume and cover letter writing, and LinkedIn optimization.

I take a highly personalized approach to everyone as every single person's situation is completely unique. In addition, all of the work is done by me. I do not have a staff and I do not send any work out.

I also offer free video consultations to everyone that are done right here on the site.

If you would like to chat about your current situation to get some advice and determine if a larger engagement is needed or wanted, please click below and grab a time.

I look forward to meeting you.

  • Why Interview Prep is Critical

  • Job interviews are constantly evolving. This is not driven solely by the growing influx of AI software, although it's a big part.

Some facts about the job interview:

    1. It's the most important part of the job search process as it's when the hiring decisions are made.

    2. Job interviews are business meetings, not auditions. Both sides have a need.

    3. So many candidates do not adequately prepare, which opens the door for you even if your qualifications are potentially not as "good" as someone else's.

    4. Many companies are terrible at interviewing, either because of a disorganized or an unnecessarily long process, or because they are simply unaware of how to properly evaluate candidates.

    5. A cliché at this point, but you are interviewing the company as much as, if not more than, they are interviewing you.

Over the last 9 years, the framework that has helped candidates the most is having the right MINDSET --> STRATEGY --> ACTION.

To be the most competitive candidate, you need to have all three. Let me quickly break these down:

MINDSET: You must understand your value and the company's situation before meeting with anyone. This will lay the foundation for developing confidence (the secret sauce in the whole process) which you will then leverage into showing the hiring manager what he/she/they need to see and hear. Your presence and control during these discussions will give you an edge over candidates who are not prepared or as dialed-in to the opportunity in front of them.

STRATEGY: Immediately following is the development your compelling, professional story and how it aligns with what the company needs. Through reflection and the studying of practice questions, you will formulate the best examples from your past that will fit into what the company is looking for.

ACTION: Finally, you will learn to structure your answers with precision and clarity so they all sound polished and not rehearsed. You will position yourself as the solution to the hiring manager's problem(s), regardless of your level or experience.

Working with me is a safe-space. I've been in your shoes. I used to get very nervous before job interviews and it was because of a lack of confidence and/or preparation. I have since taken my personal learnings, along with 9 years of working with professionals just like you, and developed a structure to help you succeed and get the job you're really excited about.

What You Will Walk Away With:

Clear, Confident Responses: You will know what to say and how to say it so it aligns with what the interviewer is looking for.

A Polished Professional Narrative: We will shape your experience (however long or short) into a compelling story that stands out from other candidates.

Realistic Mock Interviews: Practical targeted practice with immediate feedback in a comfortable environment. Please note: not everyone is comfortable with mock interviews. If that's you, no problem! We will work through questions in a way that makes you comfortable.

A Strategy for Each Stage: Interviews are a little different when you are interviewing with a recruiter, an HR representative, the hiring manager, or an executive. We will plan accordingly.

Hyper-Awareness: We will discuss your interviews in detail to determine if the particular company/role/hiring manager is worth YOUR time and effort.
